Affected strengths and lot numbers are:
No adverse reactions or illnesses have been reported with these lots.
In most cases the clinical signs of a dog receiving a low potency levothyroxine product for a short period of time are unnoticeable. However, in some cases, a dog that is not receiving an appropriate amount of levothyroxine may show common signs of hypothyroidism including lethargy, weight gain, or hair loss.
Concerned owners should contact their veterinarian regarding the start of a new lot of the product, as well as to set up thyroid testing 30 days after starting on a new lot.
